The KOSO KGP5000 smart positioner positions pneumatically actuated control valves from a 4-20 mA signal, comparing the input with valve travel feedback for accurate positioning. A large graphic LCD gives local setup, status monitoring and diagnostics, and the full autotune function sets zero, span and optimal PID parameters automatically.
Online and offline diagnostics (travel, reversals, temperature exposure, pressure based valve signatures) support the move from breakdown to preventive maintenance.
