The Advanced Static Var Generator (ASVG) is a current-type power quality device that monitors the load current in real time and adjusts the phase and amplitude of its inverter output to compensate reactive power, harmonic currents and three-phase unbalance simultaneously. One device replaces a separate SVG and active harmonic filter, with fast response and high cost-effectiveness.
Its neutral conductor filtering capability is twice that of the phase conductors (three times on request), which makes it well suited to buildings and plants with many single-phase non-linear loads.
