The Mechanical Retrieval Tool Kit is designed for the safe and easy installation and removal of monitoring devices from pipelines and vessels under full line pressure, through a EuropCorr Mechanical Access System. It is mainly composed of the Retrieval Tool and a Single or Double Isolation Service Valve, supplied with a steel brush, brass hammer and purge tube with adapter in a sturdy field service box. The purge tube lets the fluid in the assembly be contained in a tank (on request), sampled or released elsewhere.
Main components are stainless steel with a chrome treatment, hydrotested after assembly. The retriever works on the balanced-pressure principle, so it will not telescope in case of sudden pressure release, and includes a three-way bleed valve with pressure gauge. Sealing uses Viton O-rings and energised graphite-impregnated PTFE seals. One retriever and one service valve can service many access points.
