The low pressure strip coupon holder carries a single strip coupon in the desired monitoring position. Retractable strip coupons measure 76 x 13 x 1.6 mm with two mounting holes and an exposed area of 20.5 cm²; holders are supplied with mounting hardware.
The EuropCorr Low Pressure Retractable System allows safe insertion and removal of probes, coupons and injection or sampling equipment in process systems up to 1,500 psi (103 bar) without shutdown. Access is through a standard 1" NPT full-port ball valve, and a packing gland with PTFE packing ensures the pressure seal; a safety clamp and safety locking nut secure the assembly. Standard systems mount on a 1" NPT threadolet or a 1" flange (ASTM A105N); a 1-1/2" NPT access fitting assembly is available on request.
Weight loss coupons are the simplest and longest established method of estimating corrosion losses; the corrosion rate is calculated according to NACE RP0775. Coupons are insulated from the holder, individually serial-numbered and certified (weight to four decimal places, dimensions, material), and packed in moisture-resistant inhibited envelopes with a one-year shelf life.
