PANAM bleed valves provide a convenient means to relieve process pressure trapped between a shut-off valve and the instrument. They use the same bonnet assemblies as the PANAM mini valves on an integrated single threaded body that screws into the vent port.
Three bonnet versions are available: FKM O-ring packing (V) rated to 6,000 psi (414 bar), and PTFE (T) or Grafoil (HT) packing bonnets with spindle, check nut and thrust washer, rated to 10,000 psi (689 bar) with the 10K option. Grafoil packing extends the temperature range to 648 °C (1198 °F).
Every bleed valve is factory tested up to its maximum pressure rating for no detectable leakage, cleaned and packaged to PANAM procedure PWI/5.7/21, and complies with NACE MR0175 and MR0103 with heat code traceability.
