EuropCorr Fixed NPT Disc Coupon Holder

This fixed disc coupon holder screws into a 1", 1-1/2" or 2" NPT connection and can monitor any depth or flow phase, including the bottom of water traps. The flush disc coupon does not need to be oriented to the flow, exposes more area at the wall and does not interfere with pigging.

The Fixed System is used in locations that can be isolated or depressurised before the holder is removed for coupon change-out. It installs and removes without any special tool and is available in NPT and flanged configurations.

Weight loss coupons are the simplest, least expensive and longest established method of estimating corrosion losses in operating systems. A coupon is a piece of metal of predetermined shape, size and surface area, usually of the same alloy as the monitored pipe or vessel; it is weighed, exposed to the process, cleaned and reweighed, and the weight loss is converted to a corrosion rate according to NACE RP0775, while visual examination shows pitting, scale and cracking.
