PANAM Needle Valves SB Series are square body valves designed for connecting gauges and other instruments to process lines carrying hazardous and corrosive media at pressures up to 10,000 psi (689 bar). They allow easy blocking and bleeding of pressure during maintenance and calibration of pressure transmitters or gauges. The range includes needle valves (PNV) and block and bleed valves (PBB), with hard seat (non-rotating V tip or ball tip) or soft seat construction.
Valves are precision machined and available with PANAM tube fitting ends (inch or metric), male, female, male x female, tube socket weld and pipe socket weld connections, in NPT, BSPT, BSPP and metric threads. The product complies with NACE MR0175 / ISO 15156 with heat code traceability, and all materials are supplied in compliance with ASTM specifications.
Each valve is hydrostatically tested in accordance with MSS-SP-99 at 1.5 times the maximum working pressure, with seat leakage test at 1.1 times, and is also tested with nitrogen gas at 1,000 psi (6.9 MPa) for seat, seal and shell leakage. Vibration, temperature and helium tests are available on request.
