COLOSSUS KLD Screw Expander, Direct Drive Unit (replaces electric motor)

Screw expander that recovers medium and low pressure process steam and drives rotating machinery (pumps, fans, compressors) directly in place of an electric motor. It accepts saturated steam, two-phase steam and liquid, and pressurized hot water, with no special requirement on steam quality. Stepless speed control follows the speed of the driven machine, like a variable frequency drive. Rigid rotors cannot run away on overspeed and start under load. Shipped assembled from the factory, with automatic control for unattended operation.
