PANAM gauge savers protect pressure gauges and other instruments from excess pressure. The valve automatically blocks pressure exceeding the set limit until it returns to normal, controls sudden pressure spikes, and can isolate low pressure indicators in systems that alternately measure high and low pressure. The low pressure version (PGS) is diaphragm actuated for high sensitivity; a high pressure design is also offered.
The one piece body is machined from ASTM A182 F316 stainless steel; Monel and Hastelloy versions are available. Each gauge saver is factory tested to MSS-SP-99 (hydrostatic test at 1.5 times and seat leak test at 1.1 times the maximum working pressure, plus 1,000 psi nitrogen seal test), with heat code traceability. Oxygen service is possible after special cleaning.
