The PANAM PDS-TD threaded diaphragm seal with large diaphragm is designed for pressure measurement of viscous liquids. A typical application is the pressure of heavy fuel oil (atmospheric residue) in burners and heat centres of power boilers.
It connects directly to smart and analog pressure transmitters, or remotely through a capillary, and is made of 316SS (diaphragm and seal). Larger diaphragm versions (Ø75 and Ø100) reduce thermal errors for low ranges. Threaded type diaphragm seals for gauges (PDS20) are also shown in the PANAM pressure gauge catalogue.

The PDS ordering code lists model (FF, ED, TD, CF), wetted material (SSL SS 316L, HC Hastelloy C276, NI Nickel, TA Tantalum, TI Titanium), PTFE coating, single or dual seal, process connection, flange extension length, capillary (direct or 5, 10, 20 m), accessories (flushing ring, flushing ring needle or ball valve) and fill fluid. For the threaded model use TD with connection 12 (1/2" NPT male) or 13 (1/2" BSPP male).
