Heavy-duty cartridge seal configured for slurry. The stationary face design limits abrasion of the seal faces by the slurry, and the external springs are kept out of the medium. A floating rotating ring absorbs pump vibration. Typical use: flue gas desulfurization plants in power stations. Without a support system it suits open seal chambers with up to 20 % solids; with an API 682 flush plan, up to 40 % solids.
