EuropCorr Hydraulic Buttweld Access Fitting

The Hydraulic Buttweld Access Fitting is designed to be butt-welded directly to a 2" buttweldolet. A 2" NPT pipeline connection is also available on request, and dimensions can be customised to client requirements.

Part of the EuropCorr Hydraulic Access System, which gives access to pipelines and vessels under full operating pressure without shutdown. The assembly is made of a Hydraulic Access Fitting, a Solid or Hollow Plug and a Heavy Duty or Pressure Retaining Cover; monitoring devices are inserted and retrieved with the Hydraulic Retrieval Tool Kit, and the system can be installed under pressure with the EuropCorr Hot Tap Tool.

Compared with the mechanical system, the hydraulic system has no internal threads between fitting and plug (no galling or seized plugs), precise alignment of devices with the flow thanks to locking pins, no external moving parts on the retriever, a smaller and lighter tool operated 2 to 3 m from the pressure point, and full compatibility with existing mechanical fittings through a hydraulic adapter.
