Cylindrical threads to DIN ISO 228/1 are sealed by metal to metal contact or with a dedicated sealing gasket. PANAM supplies three gasket families matched to the thread end forms used on its tube and pipe fittings.
PRS gaskets seal external parallel threads (RS form) with an FKM or Buna-N inner ring bonded to a stainless or carbon steel outer ring. PRP copper rings seal external parallel threads to DIN 3852 Form B (also usable with Form A) and external metric threads to ISO 724. PRG copper rings seal internal parallel threads to DIN 3852 Form Y, sitting on the flat bottom of the internal thread.

Codes give gasket type, ring material and thread size. For PRS metric gaskets add the inner ring code (F = FKM standard, B = Buna-N), e.g. PRS-S-08M-F for M8x1.0. For PRG gaskets replace CU with S (SS 316) or T (PTFE) for other materials; PTFE gasket dimensions may differ and should be specified when ordering.
