PANAM 37 degree flared tube fittings follow the SAE J514 three piece design: body, sleeve and nut. The tube end is flared at 37 degrees (74 degree included angle) and clamped between the fitting nose and the sleeve, providing an effective metal to metal seal with a small seal area, compact design, low assembly torque and high pressure capability.
The support sleeve clamps the flare, isolates the tube from the nut to minimise twist during assembly, resists flare expansion and makes the fitting adaptable to metric tube by changing its inside diameter. The range covers male and female connectors, swivel connectors, unions, large hex and swivel unions, reducing adapters, bulkhead unions and lock nuts, male, adjustable, 45 degree, female and union elbows, run, branch, union and swivel tees, union crosses, tube caps, cap assemblies and plugs.
JIC fittings are 100% factory tested and comply with NACE MR0175 and NACE MR0103 with heat code traceability. The catalogue states working pressure up to 20000 psi (1378 bar), with higher ratings on request; allowable SAE ratings per dash size are listed in the catalogue.
