PANAM sample cylinders are made from seamless tubing for consistent wall thickness, size and capacity, with cold formed female NPT threads for high strength. Single-ended cylinders (150, 300 and 500 cm3) are in 304L stainless steel; double-ended cylinders from 40 cm3 to 1 gallon are in 304L or 316L stainless steel or alloy 400.
Single-ended cylinders are hydrostatically tested at 1000 psi (69 bar) and double-ended cylinders to at least 5/3 times the working pressure. All cylinders are cleaned and packaged to the PANAM standard procedure. Internal surfaces can be PTFE coated or electropolished.
